Job Full Description
We are seeking a Quality Engineer to support and strengthen our ISO 9001 Quality Management System in a midsized contract machining facility serving primarily automotive customers. This role focuses on process development, training, auditing, and system improvement, with future involvement in IATF 16949 readiness.
What You’ll Do
• Develop, revise, and maintain quality procedures and work instructions
• Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 requirements
• Conduct internal audits and verify corrective action effectiveness
• Lead and support root cause investigations
• Train employees on quality processes and standards
• Support customer quality concerns and corrective actions
• Assist with automotive core tools (PPAP, PFMEA, Control Plans, MSA, SPC)
• Participate in IATF 16949 readiness planning
What We’re Looking For
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent experience
• 3+ years in manufacturing quality (automotive preferred)
• Strong ISO 9001 knowledge
• Experience with internal auditing & corrective action systems
• Familiarity with automotive core tools
• Strong communication and training skills
• Ability to collaborate across departments
Preferred
• CNC machining or contract manufacturing experience
• Working knowledge of IATF 16949
• ASQ certifications (CQE, CQA, etc.)
