Water Treatment Operator

Are you mechanically inclined, safety-focused, and looking for a career with long-term growth potential? We are seeking a Water Treatment Operator to join our team and play a critical role in maintaining water quality, supporting plant operations, and ensuring environmental compliance.
This is a hands-on position where you'll work with specialized equipment, monitor water treatment systems, and help ensure operations run safely and efficiently. If you enjoy problem-solving, working independently, and learning valuable technical skills, this could be the opportunity for you.
What You'll Do
- Operate and monitor water treatment systems and equipment
- Mix and administer treatment chemicals according to established procedures
- Collect and test water samples to ensure quality standards are met
- Monitor pumps, filters, valves, and chemical feed systems
- Maintain accurate operational logs and records
- Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance
- Troubleshoot equipment issues and assist with repairs as needed
- Follow all environmental, safety, and company regulations

- Ability to read gauges, meters, and operating procedures

Preferred Experience
- Previous experience in manufacturing, industrial, utility, or water treatment environments
- Experience handling chemicals and following safety procedures
- Experience operating pumps, valves, motors, or process equipment
- Water treatment or wastewater experience is a plus but not required
Education
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Water treatment certifications are preferred but not required
- Additional technical training is a plus
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to climb ladders and stairs
- Comfortable working in both indoor and outdoor environments
- Ability to wear required personal protective equipment, including respirators when necessary
