Job Full Description
Express Employment Professionals is seeking Mig Welders/ Fitters to join a Local Company in the Athens, TX area.
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 6AM - 6PM or 6PM - 6AM (Depending on the position.)
Responsibilities:
- Perform MIG welding on structural steel components
- Fit and fabricate steel according to detailed plans and blueprints
- Use a cutting torch to cut and shape steel as required
- Read and interpret shop drawings and use a tape measure accurately
- Operate hand and power tools related to metal fabrication
- Ensure work meets company quality standards and specifications
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment
- Work independently and as part of a team to meet production deadlines
Requirements:
- Must be able to pass a Mig Weld Test
- Experience with structural steel welding and fabrication preferred
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
- Skilled in using a tape measure and a cutting torch
- Must be able to stand, push, pull, bend, and lift heavy materials (up to [insert weight, e.g., 50 lbs]) throughout the shift
