Express employment Professionals is seeing a Residential Appraiser to join a local company in the Athens, TX area.
This role offers a dynamic blend of fieldwork and office responsibilities, with the opportunity to provide meaningful support to property owners during tax assessment season.
Location: East Texas (Field & Office-Based)

Key Responsibilities:
- September - March: Conduct residential appraisals in the field across Texas. You’ll be working outdoors, assessing property values in various weather conditions.
- April - August: Office-based work focusing on property tax protests. Help taxpayers understand their property tax increases, assess their cases, and provide guidance on potential reductions or protests.
- Evaluate and analyze residential properties for accurate value assessments.
- Provide exceptional customer service and professionalism, particularly when de-escalating disputes or answering questions about property taxes.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma required; college education preferred but not mandatory.
- Located within Henderson County.
- Must be comfortable working in Texas weather conditions.
- Tech-savvy, with experience using iPads or similar technology for field appraisals.
- Reliable vehicle for fieldwork (monthly vehicle stipend provided).
- Ability to work in the Texas Elements and comfortable working in individuals homes.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality, professionalism, and a good sense of humor.
- Strong customer service skills, with the ability to calmly resolve conflicts and educate property owners.
