Job Full Description
Express Employment Professionals is seeking a CNC Operator to join a local company in the Ben Wheeler, TX area.
Schedule: Monday - Thursday, 2:15PM - 12:45AM
Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate CNC mills and lathes, including installing tools, attachments, collets, and indicating vices.
- Machine production parts to specification and verify settings through first-run and in-process inspections.
- Measure parts using micrometers, calipers, and bore gauges to ensure quality standards are met.
- Prepare materials using automated saws, chop saws, and vibratory machines.
- Load feed mechanisms by positioning and securing raw stock.
- Monitor machining processes such as drilling, grooving, turning, facing, knurling, and threading.
- Troubleshoot machining issues, adjust programs, and replace worn tooling as needed.
- Complete production and quality documentation accurately and timely.
- Perform preventive maintenance and report equipment issues for repair.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, including scrap handling and recycling.
- Communicate effectively across shifts regarding production status, issues, and ongoing needs.
Requirements:
- Experience operating CNC lathes and/or mills.
- Strong understanding of precision measurement tools and quality assurance procedures.
- Excellent organizational, time management, and attention-to-detail skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Commitment to safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
