Job Full Description
Express Employment Professionals is seeking a Utility Laborer to join a local company in the Ben Wheeler, TX area.
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 6:00AM - 2:30PM
Responsibilities:
- Stage materials and move parts to support machinists and daily production flow
- Load and unload raw materials, finished goods, and scrap using approved equipment
- Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas (chip removal, coolant upkeep, housekeeping)
- Assist with tooling management, inventory control, and basic machine setup support
- Perform secondary operations such as deburring, cleaning, and visual inspections
- Ensure materials and tools are prepared for efficient, same-day production when possible
- Follow safety procedures and report hazards, equipment issues, or quality concerns
- Support continuous improvement by identifying workflow inefficiencies
- Complete other related duties as assigned
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Experience in a manufacturing or machine shop environment
- Familiarity with CNC and/or manual machining operations
- Forklift certification or ability to obtain
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
- Strong mechanical aptitude with a willingness to learn and grow
