Job Full Description
Express Employment Professionals is seeking applicants for a MIG Welder position for a local Sulphur Springs, Tx company! We are a full-service Staffing Firm where we work with companies in East Texas that have full-time, part-time and temporary. Since we cannot guarantee placement, there is no fee for using our services!
In this role, you will:
- Fit and weld basic fabrications using jig fixtures and sub-assemblies.
- Perform MIG welding while producing quality welds that meet company standards.
- Interpret blueprints, specifications, diagrams, and schematics to determine proper weld placement.
- Read and accurately use a tape measure to ensure precise fabrication.
- Assemble and join metal components according to production requirements.
- Inspect completed welds for accuracy and quality.
- Safely operate forklifts and overhead cranes when moving materials (experience preferred).
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Follow all safety procedures and company policies.
- Successfully complete a weld test as part of the hiring process.
We like to hear from candidates with the following:
- Previous MIG welding and fabrication experience.
- Ability to interpret blueprints, schematics, and welding specifications.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and manual dexterity.
- Experience using measuring tools, including tape measures.
- Forklift and overhead crane experience preferred.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to use available information to complete assigned tasks.
- Commitment to producing accurate, high-quality work.
- Dependable attendance and the ability to follow instructions and management direction.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and frequently stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl while performing job duties.
