Warehouse Porter
Location: Houston, TX 77070
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (Full-Time)
Pay Rate: $16/hour
Client of Express Employment Professionals is hiring for a reliable and hardworking Warehouse Porter to join their team. This role is essential to maintaining a clean, organized, and efficient warehouse environment. If you’re detail-oriented, physically capable, and ready to support daily operations, we’d love to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities:
- Cleaning & Maintenance: Sweep, mop, vacuum, and sanitize floors, workstations, and common areas. Dust surfaces, wipe down equipment, and clean windows or fixtures as needed.
- Waste Management: Empty trash receptacles, dispose of waste properly (including recyclables), and handle hazardous materials if trained.
- Stock Organization: Assist with stocking shelves, organizing inventory, labeling items, and rearranging stock to optimize space and accessibility.
- Support Operations: Help with loading/unloading deliveries, moving materials using carts or dollies, and preparing areas for events or inspections. Perform minor repairs such as changing light bulbs or reporting equipment issues.
- Driving Duties: Must have a valid driver’s license to assist with occasional hotshot deliveries.
Qualifications:
- Ability to lift and move heavy items safely
- Strong attention to detail and cleanliness
- Team-oriented with good communication skills
- Valid driver’s license required
- Previous warehouse or janitorial experience is a plus
