Inventory Control associate

Pay: From $17.00 per hour

Schedule: Monday through Friday 7:00 am to 5:00 (OT and weekends as needed)

 

Overview:

The Inventory Control associate is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records, ensuring efficient material flow, and supporting on-time order fulfillment. This position requires strong computer proficiency, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to accuracy and safety within a fast-paced warehouse environment.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Perform accurate data entry for all incoming and outgoing inventory transactions.
  • Conduct regular cycle counts and inventory audits to ensure accuracy and data integrity.
  • Verify part numbers, quantities, and storage locations before pulling or staging materials.
  • Maintain up-to-date and accurate inventory records using company inventory management software.
  • Ensure all orders meet on-time shipping cutoffs and are pulled and verified prior to staging.
  • Identify, investigate, and report any inventory discrepancies promptly.
  • Collaborate with team members and other departments to resolve inventory or order-related issues.
  • Receive incoming shipments and ensure all documentation is properly completed and filed.
  • Operate a sit-down propane forklift safely to move and organize inventory as needed.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment in compliance with company safety policies.
  • Apply strong problem-solving skills to improve efficiency and minimize inventory errors.

 

Qualifications:

  • Experience in inventory control or warehouse operations (manufacturing environment preferred).
  • Proficient in computer use, including Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook) and inventory management systems.
  • Strong attention to detail with a high level of accuracy.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Previous experience operating a sit-down propane forklift required.
  • Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
