Job Overview:
A corporate housing provider based in Alexandria, VA is looking for a maintenance technicians for their Alexandria and Washington, DC locations.
Duties:
- Prepares make ready apartments, which may include painting, caulking, carpet repairs, cleaning, general repairs, housekeeping duties, and any necessary duties to provide our residents with that quality move in experience.
- Perform maintenance and repairs on electrical, mechanical, and plumbing systems
- Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and implement appropriate solutions
- Fabricate and install parts as needed
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests from staff or management
- Assist with the coordination of outside contractors for specialized repairs or projects
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain a safe working environment
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Proven experience in facilities maintenance, preferably in a leadership role
- Strong knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems
- Ability to read and interpret schematics and technical manuals
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Strong customer service skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with staff at all levels
