The Opportunity:
This is an outstanding role for a tax professional looking for the next step in their career. The firm is seeking a Senior Tax Accountant who will quickly become a key part of the leadership team. With a clear and realistic path to Manager within 1–2 years, this position is ideal for someone who wants to combine technical expertise with client-facing advisory work and staff mentorship. This is a DIRECT-HIRE POSITION.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and review individual income tax returns
- Support preparation of corporate, partnership, and nonprofit returns (experience in these areas is a plus)
- Conduct tax research and provide guidance on complex issues
- Work directly with clients to gather information, resolve questions, and deliver proactive advice
- Review and mentor junior staff to support their growth and ensure quality work
- Assist with tax planning and advisory projects throughout the year
- Stay current on tax laws and regulatory updates
Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in tax accounting
- CPA preferred (Enrolled Agent required at minimum)
- Strong background in preparing individual tax returns (corporate and nonprofit experience is a plus)
- Excellent communication skills and a client service mindset
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Desire to grow into a leadership/manager role
