Job Title: Supply Chain Associate

Summary:
A well-established local manufacturing company in Morgantown is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Supply Chain Associate to support the daily operations of the Supply Chain Management Department. This role plays a key part in managing inventory, purchasing, shipping, and receiving to ensure a timely and efficient workflow throughout the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Open new jobs released by the Production Manager to initiate purchasing

  • Receive, store, issue, and record parts in the system

  • Cross-train in purchasing, shipping, receiving, inventory, and materials handling

  • Manage internal work orders (IWOs) and coordinate completion and stock movement

  • Monitor purchasing queues to maintain material flow and project timelines

  • Assist with year-end physical inventory and quarterly cycle counts

  • Source quality materials, negotiate pricing, and ensure timely deliveries

  • Communicate clearly with vendors and internal teams

  • Comply with all safety policies and actively contribute to team goals

  • Exhibit a positive, team-oriented attitude and willingness to grow within the role

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED required

  • Previous experience in a supply chain, logistics, or inventory role is a plus

  • Basic computer proficiency, especially in inventory or ERP systems

  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively

Physical Requirements:

  • Frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, or crouching

  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs

  • Reasonable accommodations available

Work Environment:

  • Office and indoor shop setting with standard lighting and ventilation

  • Moderate noise level

Supervision:
This position reports to the Director of Supply Chain Management. Support and guidance are provided to promote learning and development within the role.
