We are seeking a reliable and customer-focused Parts Counter Attendant to support local operations in Shinnston, WV. This position plays a key role in assisting both customers and technicians with parts inquiries, orders, and inventory support. Primary Responsibilities:

Answer incoming phone calls related to parts inquiries.

Assist walk-in customers and technicians with parts needs.

Issue parts to shop mechanics and document appropriately.

Place orders for Caterpillar and Allied parts.

Use internal databases and catalogs to locate part numbers and availability.

Research and track back-orders to ensure timely fulfillment.

Verify customer credit status before processing transactions.
Skills & Qualifications:
-
Mechanical aptitude or a background in automotive or heavy equipment is a plus.

Familiarity with Caterpillar or Allied product lines is preferred.

Strong customer service and communication skills.

Intermediate computer and keyboarding skills.

Ability to quickly learn new systems and databases.

High attention to detail and organizational skills.
Education/Experience:
Graduate of a technical school, military training program, or equivalent hands-on experience in a similar role is acceptable.
