In this role, you will be responsible for preparing and filing tax returns for individuals and businesses, ensuring compliance with current tax laws and regulations. Duties
- Prepare and review federal and state tax returns for individuals and corporations accurately and efficiently.
- Analyze financial information to determine tax liability and identify potential deductions or credits.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of tax laws, regulations, and compliance requirements.
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing client inquiries and offering guidance on tax-related matters.
- Utilize accounting software and financial software to input data, generate reports, and ensure accuracy in filings.
- Collaborate with clients to gather necessary documentation and information for tax preparation.
- Conduct thorough reviews of financial statements to ensure accuracy in reporting.
- Assist in resolving any discrepancies or issues that may arise during the filing process.
Qualifications
- Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial concepts, and technical accounting practices.
- Proficiency in accounting software and financial software is essential.
- Excellent math skills with the ability to perform calculations accurately.
- Experience in public accounting or corporate accounting is preferred but not required.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients.
- Familiarity with 10 key typing for efficient data entry is a plus.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills to manage multiple clients' needs effectively.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
