Job Full Description
We are currently seeking Forklift Operators for a client located in Beloit, a distributor of manufacturing equipment.
These are full time day shift temp-to-hire roles with a Wed - Saturday schedule. Company offers great growth potential and benefits package and other perks.
Essential Job Functions
1) Set-up and stage dry ice production and operate dry ice plant equipment, including block ice machinery and ice nugget extrusion machinery
2) Troubleshoot mechanical issues with equipment and perform routine maintenance
3) Safely operate a forklift, pallet jack and other warehouse equipment
4) Perform forklift truck inspections as required
5) Carefully load and unload product from company facility and vehicles per company’s Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
6) Inform management immediately of any damaged goods or equipment
7) Notify supervisor of problems that are not resolvable
8) Inspect containers prior to filling, following standard procedures as required by government, Welders Supply and customer standards
9) Clean equipment and containers to eliminate all possible contaminants
10) Fill containers and weigh per regulations and standards
Performer Requirements
1) Applicable manufacturing, maintenance and warehouse experience
2) Mechanically inclined with ability to resolve issues with machinery
3) Experience with flow packing equipment and robotic work cells
4) Self-motivated with ability to reliably work with minimal or no supervision
5) Possess appropriate driver’s license and applicable forklift license
6) Be mentally alert, adaptable and flexible in dealing with operational needs
7) Complete basic mathematical calculations and accurately fill out required paperwork
Equipment Used: Delivery truck, forklift, hand cart, hand tools, cell phone and computer.
Qualifications: A HS degree or equivalent; mechanical ability; driver’s license with safe driving record; forklift certification.
Schedule: Saturday through Wednesday, from 8-4 or 8-5
Pay: $18/hour starting. Could go higher based on forklift experience
