Express Employment Professionals has teamed up with a local, La Crosse company that specializes in steel fabrication of items such as stairs and handrails. They are looking to add qualified Machine Operators to their team. These positions are a full time, long term opportunity.

Job Title: Machine Operator

Wages and Shift:

1st Shift: Monday-Thursday, 6am-4:30pm, $18-$20/hour--based on experience.

Job Duties:

Operate steel processing equipment to support fabrication.
Detect and report defective material or questionable conditions to the shift supervisor.
Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean orderly condition and follows prescribed safety regulations.
Must be able to perform, but not limited to, the following tasks: operate machinery, read drawings, perform quality checks, update inventory movements through remote link, and read and follow job information sheet (JIS) instructions.
Must be familiar with the basic machine functions in order to perform the tasks stated above.
Observe machine operation to detect workpiece defects or machine malfunction.
Must be willing to accept and receive frequent supervision and assistance with regard to machine setup.

Sandblaster requirements include, but not limited to:

HSD or equivalent, or at least 1 year of relevant experience, or any equivalent combination of education and experience that demonstrates the ability to do the job
This position requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling and climbing all day.
The employee must frequently lift and/or move items over 50 pounds.
Associate must have a can do attitude and be detail oriented.
