Custodian – 1st Shift | Local School District
Express Employment Professionals of La Crosse is hiring for a dependable and motivated Custodian for a local school district! If you take pride in keeping facilities clean, safe, and organized, this is a great opportunity to join a team that makes a difference every day.
This is a full-time, long-term position with the opportunity to be hired by the school district and receive an excellent benefits package.
Pay & Schedule
- Pay: Starting at $18.00-$21.00/hr, based on experience
- Shift: Monday-Friday, 6:00AM-3:00PM
Responsibilities
- Clean and sanitize classrooms, offices, hallways, restrooms, and common areas
- Dust, sweep, mop, vacuum, and empty trash
- Maintain building entrances, sidewalks, and exterior grounds
- Shovel snow and remove debris to keep walkways safe
- Report maintenance or safety concerns
- Complete additional custodial duties as assigned
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Valid driver's license required
- Previous custodial or janitorial experience preferred, but not required
- Ability to work independently and follow cleaning schedules
- Comfortable working around students, staff, and the public
- Ability to lift 25-35 pounds and perform frequent bending, twisting, squatting, and standing throughout the shift
