Job Full Description
Express is seeking an Extrusion Operator to join the team of a reputable plastics manufacturing company at their location in Mazomanie.
The Extrusion Operator is responsible for setting up and operating extrusion equipment to produce plastic rolls used in production or for sale. Duties include changing die sets, adjusting rollers, adding materials, and performing maintenance to ensure smooth operation. Work is performed in a climate-controlled environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and troubleshoot issues with the extruder
- Oversee each production run from start to finish
- Complete paperwork related to equipment, setup, and quality checks
- Change and move plastic rolls using a hoist
- Perform maintenance on the extruder
- Assist with other department tasks as needed
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Good hand coordination and dexterity
- Able to read, write, and understand English
Physical Requirements:
- Lift 15–25 lbs frequently; up to 50 lbs occasionally (team lift for more than 50 lbs)
- Perform repetitive hand/arm tasks
- Stand for long periods on concrete floors
- Wear required protective gear (e.g., long sleeves)
- Climb steps or ladders and work at heights
- Work in high-temperature environments
Schedule: 3rd shift, 7:45pm - 6am Mon - Thurs
Pay: $22.50/hour
