Owner

Carey joined the Express staff in September 2015. Her years of dedication have given her extensive knowledge of both recruiting and the staffing needs of the local community. Carey excels at connecting and building relationships with companies in the area and matching them with great employees.

Madison Lewis

Employment Specialist

Before joining Express in 2026, Madison obtained her degree in Communication Studies from Iowa State University. In her free time, she enjoys reading, playing pickleball, and trying new coffee shops. She is very excited to be part of the Express family, and she is looking forward to connecting candidates with companies in the Wisconsin area!

Ashley Lowrey

Front Office Coordinator

Ashley started at Express in April 2023. Prior to starting at Express, Ashley worked as a nanny and the Director of a childcare center, where she gained excellent customer service and office management skills. In her free time, Ashley enjoys reading and spending time outdoors with her children.

Maya Mathews

Client Services Manager

Maya joined the Express team in October of 2023. Before joining Express, she obtained her Education degree from UW-La Crosse and was a Middle School teacher. In her free time, she enjoys spending time outdoors. Maya is excited to help connect companies in the Madison area to quality candidates.

Anika Preusker

Business Development Representative

Anika recently joined the Express team in June of 2026 after earning a B.S. in Business Marketing and a minor in Communications from Edgewood University. During her time at Edgewood University, she was also a member of the women's soccer team. She enjoys working out, traveling, photography, and fashion. She is passionate about using her communication skills and confidence to build strong client relashionships and help local businesses succeed.

Mike Schaul

Owner

Mike Schaul has been a co-owner of Express Fitchburg since August 2022. Along with Fitchburg, Mike also owns offices in Dubuque, Davenport, Moline, Waterloo, Platteville, and West Des Moines. Mike has been in staffing for over 15 years and excels in creating a strong and positive work culture.

Katie Telfer

Owner and General Manager

Katie joined Express in 2011 as an intern when her uncle, Paul Kotz, opened the Fitchburg Express location. She then moved into a Staffing Consultant role, and then Office Manager, before becoming a part owner of the office. Katie loves building relationships and trust with clients, and connecting job seekers with great Madison area employers. Outside of Express, Katie enjoys Wisconsin summers on the lake, traveling with her husband and daughter, and trying new restaurants.

Matt Timmerman

Owner

Matt has over 20 years of experience in the staffing industry. Along with the Fitchburg office, Matt and his business partner, Mike Schaul, also own Express offices in Dubuque, Davenport, Moline, Waterloo, Platteville, and West Des Moines.
