Job Full Description
We are seeking a warehouse associate to join the team of our client, a lighting company, at their shop on the West side.
This is a great evaluation hire opportunity with a company that offers a full benefits package and great work environment.
As a Warehouse Associate, you will work in tandem with the members of our warehouse team to accurately and timely receive, verify, stage and stock all incoming material. You will also work closely with our delivery lead to accurately locate and aggregate all outgoing orders verifying their accuracy against the shipping documents provided by the sales associates for the following days deliveries.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate a forklift to pull and prepare outbound customer orders as well as to bin all incoming material.
- Build, wrap, sort, and transport pallets and packages.
- Prepare and complete orders for delivery or pickup per schedule (load, pack, wrap, label, ship).
- Receive and process stock products (pick, unload, label, store).
- Perform periodic inventory counts ensuring accuracy against our ERP system.
- Occasionally fill in for the driver, delivering to job sites and other business locations.
- Clean the workspace as you go and participate with the team in keeping our facility clean, safe, and accident free.
Qualifications
- 2-3 years warehouse experience in shipping, receiving, delivery, or inventory management is preferred.
- Familiarity with modern warehouse practices and methods.
- High attention to detail.
- Comfortable in a fast paced, changing environment.
- Positive demeanor, dependability, and strong work ethic.
- Ability to lift items that weigh up to 50lbs regularly.
- Valid drivers license with good driving record.
- Must be able to read and write in English as it pertains to the job and safety requirements.
Schedule: This role is a full-time, in-person position with a requirement of weekend availability on a rotating basis.
9am - 6pm Mon -Fri schedule
Pay: Based on experience, $18 - $22/hr.
