Express Employment Madison West (Fitchburg) partnered with a local industrial pump company in search of a 1st shift Shop Technician!
**Candidates MUST have at least 5 years of industrial pump repair experience**
Our Client is a small, busy, and well-respected industrial pump company. They sell, install, service, and repair a wide variety of industrial pumps.
General Job Description and Duties:
- Perform a variety of shop duties.
- Team player who can function independently at a high level.
- Repairs in shop and service calls, document repairs, loading and unloading trucks.
- Diagnose, repair, and replace parts; test pumps.
- Complete paperwork documenting each teardown and repair.
- Build, prepare for shipping, and install a variety of pumps.
- Welding and Fabrication
- Machine Operating
- Keep workspace clean and organized.
- Time management and organizational skills.
- Ability to follow standard workplace health and safety procedures.
- Ability to complete tasks in a timely and safe manner
- Minor Duties and Responsibilities- Building maintenance.
- Other tasks as assigned by the Shop Manager.
Job Qualifications:
Key Competencies:
- Broad knowledge of mechanical experience working with industrial pumps.
- Willing to learn about a variety of pumps.
- To test and document completed repairs.
- Organize, clean, and keep a safe workspace.
- Complete all paperwork immediately upon completion of tasks.
- Stay focused on current tasks and efficient use of work hours.
Physical Requirements:
- Physical ability to spend working hours on your feet, lift, and move heavy objects (up to 75 pounds) and perform repairs in tight spaces.
Hours:
- 8am-4pm, Monday-Friday (Hours could be somewhat flexible)
Pay:
- Starting at $55k/yr, based on Experience.
