Job Full Description
Express is hiring for a Machine Operator (laser, punch, brake) to join a local Waunakee manufacturer. Great opportunity for those who love the gaming industry!
Key Responsibilities
- Set up and operate a Mazak CO2 laser cutting machine per specifications and drawings
- Set up and operate a manual/standalone press brake to bend and form sheet metal to precise tolerances
- Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and technical drawings
- Perform in-process quality checks using calipers, micrometers, protractors, etc.
- Perform routine machine maintenance and troubleshoot minor issues
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area
- Move between machines/stations as production scheduling requires
Qualifications
- Experience in a manufacturing/fabrication environment
- Required: Hands-on experience in at least TWO of the following: Industrial CO2 laser, Trumpf TruPunch, Press Brake
- Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings, including bend sequences and angle callouts
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
- High school diploma or GED (technical/trade school a plus)
- Forklift certification a plus
Preferred Skills
- Experience with all three machine types (laser, punch, brake)
- Familiarity with CAD/CAM or nesting software
- Experience in a job shop or high-mix, low-volume environment
