    4th Class Power Engineer

    Our client located in Acheson is looking for a 4 th Class Power Engineer to start ASAP.

    4th Class Power Engineer Responsibilities:

    • Perform planned maintenance, including but not limited to, cleaning, lubricating, and completing other routine maintenance work
    • Safe and reliable operation of pressure boilers and heat exchangers
    • Operate the on-site wastewater building and associated equipment, as well as maintain the cleanliness of the building
    • Responsible for the upkeep of the facility exterior and ensuring the grounds are compliant with all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs)
    • Responsible for general plumbing repairs and troubleshooting
    • Support the Kitchen's production operations through timely, efficient, and cost-effective maintenance of facility and process equipment
    • Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production and perform scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment as directed
    • Troubleshoot machine and production problems
    • Efficiently set up, inspect, and shut down production-related equipment, when required
    • Competently operate and monitor any mechanical controls on equipment
    • Adjust functional parts of devices and control instruments, using hand tools, levels, and straightedges
    • Develop and maintain good communication practices with Production staff to advise of lead times required to obtain maintenance parts and/or services
    • Demonstrate continuous effort to improve operations, decrease turnaround times, streamline work processes, and work cooperatively and jointly to provide quality seamless customer service
    • Keep detailed and accurate maintenance reports and documentation
    • Comply with all safety training and departmental SOPs, and with all regulations relating to equipment and chemical approvals for a food manufacturing facility
    • Participate in departmental housekeeping practices, i.e. keeping the maintenance shop and surrounding area clean, as well as metal rack, outside scrap bins, and the welding station, and participate in dismantling and assembling equipment and machines for deep cleaning purposes
    • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant industry technologies and codes
    • Develop and demonstrate awareness and understanding of corporate policies, practices and procedures regarding health and safety and the environment and commit to personal compliance with same

    4th Class Power Engineer Requirements:

    • Strong mechanical aptitude & solid knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems
    • Proven ability to use power and manual tools
    • Good organizational abilities, including planning and execution skills, with attention to detail in all areas of work
    • 2+ years in a production facility environment
    • 4th Class Power Engineering Certificate valid in the Province of Alberta
    • Able to lift 50lbs +

    4th Class Power Engineer Hours & Wage: 

    • $37.93/hour
    • Rotating 12 hour shifts, 4-week cycle
    • Average work week is 42 hours

    Party Chief (Field Engineer)

    A West Edmonton client is searching for an experienced Party Chief  to join their team. This role will involve travel to remote survey sites, usually up north, for up to 3-5 weeks at a time. This role will lead a team of survey assistants.

     

    Party Chief  Responsibilities:

     

    • Collection and management of data on topographic, as-built, and 
      construction survey projects.
    • Conduct land surveys of designated sites for the purposes of determining 
      accurate locations, elevations, areas, lines, and contours for property 
      division, titles, and construction purposes on oil sites, pipelines, and 
      construction sites.
    • Prepare notes, field sketches, and digital data through the use of various 
      types of instrumentation and formats.
    • Assist in training and development of junior team members.
    • Participate regularly and actively in all aspects of the health and safety 
      program as outlined by the Health and Safety Department.
    • Other duties, as assigned.

     

    Party Chief  Requirements:

     

    • Post-secondary education related to geomatics engineering technology or 
      equivalent experience.
    • Experience with the latest Trimble survey equipment.
    • Possess a valid class 5 driver's license in good standing with a clean 
      driver's abstract.
    • Ability to comply with company, client, and project Drug and Alcohol testing 
      program(s) and Fitness-to-Work test.
    • Up-to-date safety training is considered an asset.
    • Experience using Microsoft Office products including Outlook, Word, and 
      Excel, and electronic devices.
    • Excellent organizational, communication (both written and oral), and 
      interpersonal skills.
    • Possess the following personal qualities: integrity, creativity, high 
      standards, commitment, ethical values, and achievement oriented.
    • Able to work overtime, consecutive days, and out-of-town for reasonable 
      durations. Position may require workers to travel up to 21 days away from 
      home, or complete camp-based projects with a rotational schedule.

     

    Party Chief  Hours & Wage: 

     

    • Wage range depending on experience: $25.30-$48.50/hour
    • 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM Monday to Friday (varies depending on travel schedule and job)

    Land Survey Assistants - Field Engineer

    A West Edmonton client is searching for Land Survey Assistants  to join their team. This role involves remote style of survey outside and usually up north. Travel could involve being away for 3-5 weeks at a time, staying in hotels or in camps depending on location.

     

    Land Survey Assistants  Responsibilities:

     

    • Assist in performing a wide variety of surveys.
    • Utilize complex tools specific to the job at hand, including RTK GNSS 
      equipment.
    • Assist with setting-up, maintaining and transporting equipment, tools and 
      supplies.
    • Perform duties which ensure a clean, effective, and safe work environment.

    Senior Estimator Requirements & Responsibilities:

    Power Engineer

    Our Fort Saskatchewan client is looking for experienced Power Engineers to join their team. Our client is an industry leading midstream services provider that has more then 20 years experience. The role as a Process Operator includes: 

    Process Operator Responsibilities:

    • Operating, maintaining, and / or repairing equipment and systems including equipment startup, shutdown and isolation.
    • Working effectively in a team environment to monitor, log, resolve, and escalate operational and safety issues.
    • Ensuring compliance with all regulatory standards, policies, procedures, and site-specific training.
    • Maintaining appropriate records and documents and submitting reports as required.
    • Maintaining the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and following prescribed safety regulations.

    Process Operator Qualifications:

    • Minimum Grade XII education.
    • Minimum 4th Class Power Engineering Certification required. Candidates that hold Gas Processing Certification and/or equivalent trade tickets who are willing to obtain a 4th Class Power Engineer Certificate will be considered.
    • Previous experience in a gas plant or related operations environment is preferred.
    • Minimum one year of experience working in a fractionation plant.
    • Must be able to work a 12 hour rotation, including weekends and statutory holidays.
    • Abe to work in inclement weather conditions.
    • Strong mechanical aptitude.
    • Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
    • Self motivated and energetic with effective written and verbal communication skills.
    • Strong computer and problem solving skills.
    • Ability to identify opportunities for optimization and improvement. 
    • Permanent residency within 120km of the Fort Saskatchewan facility is a condition of employment.
    • Compliance with the Company's drug and alcohol policy is mandatory. 

    Hours:

    • Rotating shift 6 to 6, 5 on 4 off, 5 on 5 off
    • 12 hour shifts 5:30 - 5:30, days and nights required 
    • $47.49/hour
