    Jay Smith

    Debbie Smith 2017

Jay, together with his wife Debbie acquired the Express Employment Professional Office in Wenatchee, Washington in February 2014. Prior to the acquisition of Express Employment Professionals, Jay had been successful in the mortgage banking industry as VP/Branch Manager for Sterling Bank. By trade a Journeyman Pipefitter, he has been involved in management for over 25 years. Through his career, the one constant Jay found, was that great businesses are built upon great people. The difference between simply “good” companies and truly outstanding companies, are the people in them. This is why Express Employment Professionals focuses on providing top tier talent to its clients.
Jay is currently involved as a Rotarian, serving as a board member and co-chair of the auction committee. He is also involved with “Our Valley What’s Next” , a strategic planning movement for the area. In his free time, Jay enjoys road biking, hiking and spending time with family, especially his 4 grandchildren.
Jay feels the primary purpose of the Wenatchee Express Employment Professionals has been “To Help People Succeed”. The company actively works with other business owners and companies to find loyal and capable employees to help their businesses grow.

Debbie Smith is the Owner of Express Employment Professionals together with her husband Jay.   They believe in operating the business with honesty and integrity and have a strong work ethic.  Debbie’s 30-plus years in customer service helps her to relate well to associates and clients alike.   Her previous work as a decorator and home stager has given her the experience to assess a client’s needs, problem-solve, and strive to meet those needs in a professional manner; skills she uses daily in the staffing industry. Her warm personality and infectious laugh instantly puts people at ease and allows for a comfortable working relationship.
Debbie has many duties in the office, but you will often find her interviewing associates, talking with clients, and filling jobs. She takes care of payroll too. She enjoys encouraging, building up, and investing in the internal staff. She believes if you treat employees well and make them feel appreciated, they will be loyal and enjoy coming to work.  Debbie serves on the Board of Wenatchee Business and Professional Women, leads a woman’s bible study and enjoys spending time with family and friends, especially her 4 grandchildren.  She enjoys helping as many people as possible find good jobs by helping as many clients as possible find good people.
