    Owner

Rick Grimord was in sales and marketing most of his career and has a degree in Business and Psychology. He knew he wanted a business of his own and was investigating owning a franchise, but he also wanted to have a life. Rick had a desire to be involved with the business daily and wanted to put his management experience to work.

When asked why Rick no longer wanted a job and why he had a strong interest in franchising. His answer was, "At one time in my career, I worked for McDonald's corporate in marketing and regional advertising, supporting 307 stores in Florida. I was very impressed with the support that McDonald's offered their franchisees, and this left a very positive impression concerning franchising."

As Rick investigated the various opportunities, he was most impressed with Express Employment Professionals. Rick was impressed with the history and success of the company. He liked that he could utilize his sales and people skills as he built relationships with local businesses to provide their staffing needs. In addition, he liked that he would be an influencer in helping to put people back to work. The employees that he would hire out to local businesses within his territory would have the opportunity to earn benefits such as Medical/Dental/Vision benefits, holiday pay, and referral bonuses. He would be making a difference in the lives of many.

In May of 2012, Rick signed his lease for his office space and went to training in June. He hired his sister Laurie and son Braden as his initial office staff while he focused on business development.

Rick chose Express Employment Professionals over the other franchises he considered because of the support they provided. In his own words: "I was impressed with the amount of support Express provided. They were head and shoulders above any other franchise I checked out. Most franchisors tell you that you're in business for yourself but not by yourself. For some franchises that's just lip service. Express lives by that motto." Rick went on to explain. "Anytime you start a new venture there are going to be things you did not anticipate. You just have to learn to deal with it and move forward. That's why I find the support of the franchise so valuable."

Rick is very busy in his business getting job orders from local businesses that need help and matching that request to suitable job seekers. Rick said, "I really like finding jobs for people and find that very rewarding."

"Nothing in this world can take the place of persistence. Talent will not: nothing is more common than unsuccessful men with talent. Genius will not; unrewarded genius is almost a proverb. Education will not: the world is full of educated derelicts. Persistence and determination alone are omnipotent." - Calvin Coolidge
