    Michael and Catava opened the Corning Express office in June 2010. Their goal was and is to provide the best staffing services available to our clients in the Elmira/Corning area. The Corning office has been honored as a Circle of Excellence office in 2012 and 2014. In 2013, Express was presented the Emerging Business Award by the Corning Area Chamber of Commerce.  

    Michael and Catava have been invested in the Corning community for many years. Michael graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from West Virginia University. He started working at the Roanoke Virginia Express office as a Staffing Consultant before leaving to work for one of his clients.  Upon moving back to the Corning area, he worked for Alstom Transportation in Hornell as a Recruiter for the North American Region.  Finally, he was the HR Manager for General Revenue Corporation in Horseheads, where he worked until opening the Express office in 2010.  Michael has been presented the Trendsetter Award (2013) and the Helping Hands Award (2011) by Express for his work on various projects.  

    Catava began her career after earning an Accounting degree from Elmira Business Institute. She worked for Corning Incorporated and Petroleum Marketers as an Accounting Clerk for several years before leaving to give her full attention to their two children.

    Michael is currently serving on two boards.  He is the Board Chair for The Corning Area Chamber of Commerce and the Personnel Committee Chairperson for CareFirst. 

    The Reese family is passionate about making a difference in the lives of people. It is this passion which fuels their work with Express. “Most people don’t call on Express because they want to; they have a need – either for a person to work in their business or a job! Because we meet up with people who are desperate for help, we view our work from the standpoint of a servant. We want to make things better for our clients and associates. Service is our middle name!”

    Michael and Catava attribute their office’s success to the team that works at their office. Since they started in 2010, Express Corning has placed over 2,200 people in jobs. Express offers administrative, commercial/industrial and professional level associates. They also offer HR resources, custom training services and temporary assignment solutions.
