    Phill Powell (Vice President of Operations)

    Vice President of Operations & Managing Partner

    Phill graduated from Southeastern University in 2001. After five years in leadership at a church, he joined Express Employment Professionals. Powell has worked at Express under owner Mike Heffner's leadership for the past 15 years and has extensive recruiting, sales and leadership experience. He started with Express as an Employment Specialist and focused on Administrative staffing. He moved into a leadership role as the Inside Sales Manager and now oversees operations for Indianapolis South and Columbus.

    Phill is actively involved with Mount Pleasant Christian Church. He lives in Indianapolis with his wife Shannon and his 2 kids- Taylor and Drew. Phill hopes his experience can help make an impact on the Express staff, job seekers, and the businesses we serve.

    Powell says, "I'm thrilled to join the ownership of this well established and high impact company that consists of an extremely talented team of people all working to make a difference.     Erin has been with the Greenwood office since it opened in 2005. Prior to holding her title of Business Development Specialist, she was the Senior Employment Specialist for the Industrial Team. She graduated from University of Indianapolis with a Bachelor's focusing in communication. Erin currently resides in Whiteland with her husband and two boys. In her spare time, her family enjoys traveling, hiking, and watching/playing various sports!

    With a background in community engagement and business development in various industries, Emily graduated with a bachelor's degree in Communications and a minor in French from the University of Indianapolis. In her spare time, she enjoys volunteering as a Girl Scout leader, coaching youth sports, and serving in youth ministry at her church. Starting with Express in 2014, Emily wore many hats over the years before being promoted to the Business Development Area Manager. Emily strives to serve companies and associates in south-central Indiana. "I feel like my job truly can help change lives! I want to help companies with their challenges and help our associates find their next great place to work."

    Outside of the office, Emily loves spending time with her family and their dog. When she's not cheering her kids on in sports and other school activities, you can find her reading a good book, unwinding at a coffeehouse, or spending time outdoors.

    With a background in Business Development and Marketing, Dustin graduated from ISU with a B.S. in Business Management. Starting with Express in 2022 as a Business Development Specialist, Dustin strives to build relationships with local businesses so that Express can support and serve as the premiere resource for short term and permanent staffing needs in South-Central Indiana. Outside of the office, Dustin enjoys playing disc golf, attending Colts games, and spending time with his family. Him and his wife have been together for over a decade. They have two daughters and several pets. His favorite quote is, "Pressure will do one of two things - break pipes or make diamonds." -Darius Leonard

    Erin is a proud graduate of Indiana University with a Bachelor's degree in Communications & Marketing. She started her career in the Marketing department at a local casino where she gained experience in advertising, direct mail, promotions and database management. Erin started with us in 2012 and manages all marketing & recruiting efforts for the Indianapolis South and Columbus offices, covering 7 counties in south central Indiana. In her free time, she enjoys traveling, camping, IU basketball and being outdoors. Erin resides in her hometown of Indianapolis with her husband Josh, her daughters Maggie and Alaina, and her dog, (Calbert) Cheaney.

    Blake is a proud graduate of Franklin College with a degree in Public Relations and Business. After college, he worked at two local radio groups where he gained experience in marketing, sales, and event planning. Blake's responsibilities as Marketing Coordinator include digital marketing, media relations, maintaining the website, and event planning for the Indianapolis South and Columbus offices. FPS shooters, disconnecting with a run, and appreciating local beer fill his time between keyboard clicks. Attending every NBA arena is on his bucket list!

      Janice, born and raised in Greenwood, graduated from Ball State University (chirp chirp - Go Cardinals) with a bachelor's degree in Fashion Merchandising and Marketing. Prior to Express, Janice spent 4 years as a Marketing Specialist and 10 years as a Retail Store Manager. Outside of work, she enjoys all things related to health, fashion, and spending time with her friends and family. She and her boyfriend along with her daughter love trying out new restaurants and exploring new places together! 

      When it comes to Express, Janice said, "I truly wish to bring people the feeling of hope in their search for employment which is one of the many reasons I am so excited to be working for Express and helping people find a job that they love!"       With a background in higher education, Julie graduated with a Master of Business Administration degree from Bryan College in Dayton, Tennessee. After living half of her life in Tennessee, she's back home again in Indiana where she was born and raised.

      Starting with Express in 2021 as a Professional Recruiter, Julie strives to support and serve as the premiere resource for Accounting and Finance careers in South-Central Indiana. When asked about joining Express, Julie said, "I strive to make a positive impact in the lives of job seekers, local businesses, and the community in South-Central Indiana."

      In her spare time, you will likely find Julie outside enjoying nature with her dog Apollo, a rescue German Shepard, or spending time with her family and friends.

      Kristen has worked with Express in several different roles in her time with us. She started as a Marketing Intern, then joined us full-time after graduating college as a Marketing Coordinator doing marketing and recruiting for our offices. She left Express for a brief period of time and now we are excited to have her back in this new role.

      Kristen was born and raised in Terre Haute, Indiana and graduated with a Bachelor's degree from IUPUI's Kelley School of Business. Outside of work, Kristen enjoys spending time with her family and friends, crafting, attending concerts, and traveling. Traveling to each state at least once is high on her bucket list!

      Brittney earned her Bachelor's degree in Business Administration-HR from Purdue University Global and went on to excel in HR and Talent Acquisition roles, specializing in recruiting, onboarding, and payroll. With five years of service in the United States Navy, she brings discipline and dedication to her work.

      Originally from Gainesville, FL, Brittney now resides in Greenwood with her husband, Christian, and their two lovely kids. She cherishes her spare time, exploring historical landmarks in Greenwood and taking refreshing walks. Passionate about connecting with people, she finds fulfillment in linking job seekers with suitable companies, ultimately helping everyone succeed. Additionally, Brittney actively volunteers at Mt. Auburn Church in Greenwood, demonstrating her commitment to making a positive impact on her community.

      With experience in multiple roles within Express, Amy rejoins our team after working for Express Indy South from 2013-2020. Amy is from Greenwood, IN and she graduated from Pensacola Christian College with a bachelor's degree in Graphic Design. Rejoining Express in 2021 as a Workforce Coordinator, Amy said, "I'm excited to truly make a difference in peoples lives! In my new role, I enjoy being able to connect with our associates on a personal basis."

      Outside of work, Amy loves spending time with her family. Her kids are involved in multiple sports and other activities that keep them busy. Amy and her husband Doug love to travel and they are always planning their next adventure!

      Lindsey, born and raised on the southside, recently graduated from Franklin College with a degree in Public Relations and a minor in Sociology. While at Franklin, Lindsey really enjoyed her nonprofit leadership courses and outside of the classroom, she loved working at Maurices as an Assistant Manager. When she's not helping people with their job search, you can find Lindsey hanging with friends at the movies, a concert, or trying a new coffee shop. She's on the hunt for the best vanilla latte. Recommendations welcome! She also enjoys winding down by walking her new puppy Remi. 

      When asked about working at Express, Lindsey said, "Working here is very exciting and fulfilling because at the end of every day, you leave knowing that the work you are doing is impacting other people and making a difference. The work we do matters and that means a lot to me personally."

      Jennifer graduated from IUPUI with a Bachelor's in Event Management. She grew up in Johnson County and currently lives in Franklin with her family.  Jennifer joined our Express team in 2010 after working 5 years in advertising sales. Currently, Jennifer works with associates that have backgrounds in specialized fields such as Machinists and Welders to entry level associates looking to build their resume.

      Eliza was born and raised on the southside of Indianapolis. With a background in recruiting and customer service, she brings a wide variety of experience to our team. Eliza graduated with a bachelor's degree in Criminals Justice from Bellevue University in Nebraska and after college, she worked in various roles at Disney World for five years.

      In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with friends and family, hiking, and swimming. She also loves animals! Her and her husband have two Blue Heeler mixes, Kona and Kai.

      When asked about working at Express, Eliza said, "I'm excited to help people in my community. I enjoy being in a position where I get to work with people and help make a difference."

      Shannon grew up in Minnesota before living in the beautiful Rocking Mountains of Colorado for a stint. After moving to Indiana, her and her husband Rich of 18 years feel this is home. Shannon brings a customer service, support and administrative background to our team. She has an Associate of Arts degree from Normandale Community College along with 4 years of theological study. When asked about working at Express, Shannon said, "Searching and applying for a job can be challenging today and I am blessed to assist our job seekers in helping smooth out that process." Outside of the office, Shannon enjoys cooking for others, nature, needlework, and animals. She loves spending time with her husband and their chocolate lab mix rescue named Maggie.

      Stacy Krider brings a wealth of experience to Express, joining the Indy South office as the new Front Office Coordinator. With a 15-year background as an Assistant Director at a preschool and 5 years as an Office Manager in the staffing industry, Stacy is passionate about helping others and is excited to be part of the team. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business from Indiana Wesleyan University. Stacy and her husband, Phillip, have been married for over 20 years and have two children in Perry Township schools. Outside of work, she enjoys following her kids' activities, reading, and listening to music. Fun fact: Stacy is both a Girl Scout Gold and Silver Award recipient!
