  • A Work of Heart

  • Express Team Volunteers at Food Pantry

On November 6, 2018, the Express Employment Professionals team of Monroe teamed up with the Monroe County Opportunity program to help at the Saturday morning food pantry. MCOP offers a wide variety of services to low-income individuals and families in Monroe County. From transportation to supplemental food, from providing a home, saving a home, or offering in-home services, MCOP is there to reduce the effects of poverty, improve the quality of life, and promote self-sufficiency through community action. In the end, the backbone of the community action movement is the safety net we create to deal with local issues. In Monroe, we come together as a community to help people in need around us.

The Express team helped visitors shop for food items, weigh their items, and bag their groceries. The team also helped un-box products in the warehouse and re-stock shelves in the food pantry. Express Employment enjoys helping individuals of our community in every aspect of life. Whether that is gaining the hope needed for their future, find a job, learn job skills, or needing assistance with food when time are tough. We enjoy helping individuals get back on their feet and being a part of their success story.
