A Pensacola native and Escambia High School graduate, "Charlie" attended Florida State University in Tallahassee, Florida graduating in 1980 with degrees in Finance and Accounting. After graduating, Charlie held the position as a CPA for 5 years, he then found his calling in Sales. From 1986, Charles was placed in charge of a national marketing and sales organization which he held until 1992. He was then recruited in a Sales Management capacity for a national tax research company as a working manager to sell research tools to CPA's and Attorneys throughout the Southeast until 2000. Which then led to the ultimate purchase of this Express Employment Professionals Office in Pensacola, FL in January 2001.

Express is the largest privately held staffing company in the nation and with Charlie's dedication, perseverance, and exceptional leadership skills, he has grown our office to be in the top 100 out of over 850 Express Offices throughout the world. Our Express Employment Professionals has continuously achieved "Circle of Excellence" status for over 17 years from 2004-2021. Charlie has managed to get our office to host major national Express events, such as Refresh Leadership in April of 2013 that was presented at the Saenger Theatre featuring speakers such as Terry Bradshaw, Amanda Gore and Guy Kawasaki. Charlie has also been a speaker and certified trainer at numerous Express Services International and Regional Leadership Conference sponsored training events.

Charlie's community service includes being Past President of Gulf Coast Crime Stoppers, Past President of Cordova Rotary, A Paul Harris Fellow, Gulf Coast Kids House, and Endowment Board Member - St. Christopher's Episcopal Church.

In his spare time, Charlie's hobbies include spending time with the family, boating and slalom skiing. He is a proud father of two daughters - Ashley, 30, who works in an outside sales position in Denver, CO. and Lindsay, 25 currently a nurse working in a Dermatology practice in Jacksonville. He has been a nationally-ranked competitive slalom water-skier since 1974. In fact, in August of 2014 Charlie placed 20th out of 62 skiers at the National Water Ski Championships in San Marcos, TX - where it was his 40 year anniversary of the first time skiing nationals in 1974!
Charlie Bockwith is an exemplary citizen of our community with numerous active roles in community organizations, a loving and caring father, a strong, committed, enthusiastic and inspiring boss, and a leader to all who know him. Melissa Speaker has been an indispensable asset to our Express Employment Professionals of Pensacola, FL Team since 2012. She became partner in the business in 2021. She is extremely driven to succeed, very goal-oriented, organized, determined, and goes above and beyond what is required of her to better our local Express franchise and the companies we partner with in our community. In her 12 years of service to the Express Team, Melissa has described her most rewarding part of her position to be "making the clients happy by making the right employee placements at their companies so that they can go on about their daily tasks as a business owner and not have the worries of staffing woes hanging over their heads ." Melissa strives to make a difference in people's lives and in businesses across our community by being a "giver, not a taker."

Melissa is a Pensacola, FL native and a marathon runner. After 12 1/2 years in the retail management industry, Melissa found her calling in the staffing industry. With 19 years of experience in the staffing industry, she is the "wheels on our bus" here at Express so to speak and we are extremely grateful for the passion, drive, enthusiasm, and excellence she has brought to our office over the years. She is described by our Associates and Job Seekers as having "the ability to make people feel comfortable in potentially stressful situations such as job interviews." Melissa is adored by our in-house working Associates.

In her spare time, she enjoys Pelotoning, and using her Tonal to stay in shape. If she is not working on her fitness, she is collecting donations for MyBelongings duffle bags to give to children in foster care. She has partnered that effort with The Gulf Coast Kids House and The Santa Rosa Kids House to help children throughout multiple counties.

Melissa is happily married to Paul, and they have been together for over 23 years. Together they have an 21-year-old son who one day will join the business and one fur baby Graham. When it comes to a company needing personnel, Melissa is an exemplary Staffing Consultant and does an incredible job whether the need is temporary, temporary to hire or a direct hire basis for our clients in our community. She expresses a great responsibility with matching the right candidates along with the company needs and environment. Her passion in her work continues to exceed the needs and expectations of her clients, candidates, and in-office with her team.
