Brent Pollington and business partner Lorne MacInnes opened the Express Employment Professionals - Vancouver Downtown office on May 9th, 2016. Since embarking on this venture, Brent has found that the most rewarding part of being an Express owner is that our ability to succeed relies purely on the ability to help others. Brent is continuously engaging with the team to ensure they have the tools and resources need to help solve the challenges that job seekers and clients are faced with.
In Brent's early years, he worked in construction and also held both customer facing such as server and bartender in addition to back end support as a line cook and chef jobs in the restaurant industry. It wasn't until he started as a Retail Sales Representative at Bell Mobility that the foundation of his career truly began to form. Brent stayed with the company for almost five years, during which he achieved numerous sales and customer service awards. Brent then worked at a car dealership in sales and then as a retail store manager over the span of four more years before accepting his first recruitment position. Starting as a recruiter, Brent quickly moved up to an account management position and then became a department lead, gaining the experience needed to open the Express Vancouver office.
Brent is service-minded by nature and always tries to take a helpful and selfless approach, whether he's helping clients solve their staffing and HR challenges, or associates find work with great companies. Brent is also actively involved within the community outside of the office. Currently, he is a board member with a charity called Working Gear that helps men and women get the gear they need to get to work. In his free time, Brent enjoys spending time with his family, consisting of his wife Jill, their children Lleyton and Carter, and their dog Molly. Brent is also an avid biker, golfer, hockey player, and is up for almost any sporting/competition based activity with the amazing circle of people he calls friends.
