Machinist / Fabrication Technician

Mesa, AZ (Express Employment)
Monday – Thursday | 6:00 AM – 4:00 PM
$20-$25/hr

Position Overview

We are seeking a multi-skilled Machinist / Fabrication Technician to join our growing team in Mesa. This role is ideal for someone with strong mechanical aptitude who enjoys working with their hands and thrives in a fabrication environment.

While experience in all listed areas is not required, we are looking for someone with a solid foundation in machining or fabrication who is eager to expand their skillset. We are willing to train the right individual who demonstrates initiative, reliability, and attention to detail.

Position Responsibilities

This is a hands-on, diversified role supporting daily fabrication and machining operations:

• 10% – Maintain clean, safe, and organized work areas
• 20% – Cut raw materials and deburr components
• 10% – Drill and tap holes manually
• 20% – Machine parts on manual mills and lathes
• 20% – Disassemble and reassemble mechanical components, hoses, and valves
• 10% – Operate CNC mills and lathes (setup experience a plus)
• 10% – Assist with fixturing and part holding for welding operations (precision TIG welding experience is a plus)

Core Skills & Qualifications

Required:

• Strong mechanical aptitude and comfort using hand tools
• Experience fabricating metal components (machining and/or welding)
• Experience using shop equipment such as saws and grinders
• Knowledge of equipment commonly used in a fabrication facility

   

• Ability to use precision measuring tools:

  • Tape measure

  • Calipers

  • Micrometers

  • Squares

  • Dial indicators

• High attention to detail and ability to maintain a clean, organized workspace
• Reliable transportation
• Non-smoker

Preferred (Plus Skills):

• Manual mill and/or lathe experience
• CNC mill or lathe setup experience
• TIG welding experience
