Job Full Description

A general construction laborer performs varied manual tasks on building and construction sites, supporting tradespeople and ensuring smooth day-to-day workflow.


??? Core Responsibilities

  • Site Preparation & Cleanup: Digging trenches, leveling ground, loading/unloading materials, and maintaining clean, safe work areas.

  • Assisting Skilled Workers: Helping carpenters, masons, electricians, etc., by passing tools, holding materials, setting up equipment like scaffolding or ladders.

  • Material Handling: Lifting, carrying, cutting, and organizing construction materials such as lumber, pipes, concrete, and rebar.

  • Concrete & Formwork: Mixing, pouring, and smoothing concrete; building and dismantling forms and braces.

  • Demolition & Site Maintenance: Breaking down structures, removing debris, operating jackhammers, shovels, and light machinery.

  • Tool & Equipment Maintenance: Cleaning, inspecting, and storing tools and equipment; performing basic preventive maintenance or flagging issues.

  • Safety Compliance: Following all OSHA and company safety policies, wearing personal protective equipment (PPE), and assisting in safety checks.
