Job Title: Handyman & Maintenance Technician
Location: Mesa AZ
Department: Operations / Maintenance
Reports To: Warehouse/ Plant Manager
Employment Type: Full-Time
Job Summary:
The Handyman and Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing a wide range of repair, upkeep, and preventive maintenance tasks throughout the turbocharger remanufacturing facility. This includes supporting equipment functionality, facility infrastructure, and ensuring a safe and clean working environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform basic mechanical, electrical, and plumbing repairs around the facility, use automatic floor scrubber once a week, and keep floors clean. Clean up oil spills and other maintenance.
Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance on shop tools, compressors, hoists, power washers, ovens, and HVAC systems.
Assist with installation and relocation of machinery and equipment.
Repair and maintain facility structures such as doors, walls, floors, lighting, and restrooms.
Troubleshoot and fix leaks, clogs, and minor electrical or mechanical issues.
Ensure compliance with safety procedures and promptly address hazards or maintenance-related risks.
Support production teams with minor machine adjustments and assist technicians during downtime or special projects.
Maintain accurate maintenance logs and request replacement parts and supplies when needed.
Help with general tasks including painting, light welding, assembly table repairs, shelving, and storage systems upkeep.
Respond to urgent maintenance requests in a timely manner.
Keep maintenance tools and storage areas clean and organized.
Qualifications:
Proven experience in facility maintenance, general repairs, or handyman work (industrial setting preferred).
Basic knowledge of mechanical systems, electrical troubleshooting, and plumbing.
Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment safely.
Strong problem-solving and time-management skills.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and work in physically demanding conditions.
Willingness to work in a factory environment with exposure to noise, dust, and machinery.
Preferred Skills (Optional):
Forklift certification or willingness to become certified.
Basic welding, painting, or fabrication experience is a plus!
Understanding of turbocharger components or remanufacturing processes or willingness to learn.
