Position Overview:

We are seeking a dynamic and customer-focused Charter Sales Account Manager who will serve as a representative and advocate for key clients and large accounts. This role involves managing complex sales and ensuring customer satisfaction while maximizing profitability. The Charter Sales Account Manager will also collaborate with the Sales Manager to negotiate charter contracts with partner organizations such as schools and universities.

 

Essential Job Responsibilities:

The responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to:

 

  1. Brand Ambassadorship:

   - Represent the company brand positively and act as an advocate for the organization.  

  1. Key Account Management:

   - Manage and oversee large/key accounts to ensure seamless service execution.

   - Collaborate with internal departments to meet client needs effectively.

  1. Customer Relationship Management:

   - Respond promptly to customer inquiries, guiding them through the sales cycle.

   - Ensure accuracy of data in the charter booking system.

   - Build and maintain relationships with existing and potential customers, promoting the brand and services.

  1. Pricing and Revenue Growth:

   - Determine pricing strategies for large/key accounts to drive revenue growth and sales profitability.

  1. Client Meetings and Relationship Development:

   - Conduct offsite meetings with clients as needed to address their requirements.

   - Identify opportunities to expand the services within smaller accounts and cultivate stronger relationships to capture their full business portfolio.

  1. Collaboration and Operational Excellence:

   - Collaborate with leadership and other departments to enhance operational efficiency and identify growth opportunities.

  1. On-call Responsibilities:

   - Assume on-call responsibilities when necessary.

  1. Safety and Reporting:

   - Maintain a safe working environment and promptly report any unsafe conditions to the Supervisor.

 

End-to-End Daily Sales Bookings:

Account Managers are responsible for managing a high volume of inbound sales inquiries, quote needs, and booking requests. This involves communicating the company's value proposition, understanding client needs and objectives, customizing itineraries with detailed pricing and vehicle specifications, and maintaining up-to-date knowledge of the services and schedules. Account Managers also handle pre- and post-trip services, including gathering trip details, invoicing, and collecting customer feedback.

 

Exhibit Detailed Customer Service:

Account Managers must provide exceptional customer service through friendly and courteous interactions via email and phone. They should promptly address any customer problems or significant issues, while adhering to standard protocols and obtaining necessary approvals from the Sales Manager for changes.

 

Always Be Learning:

Given the dynamic nature of the role, Account Managers must be resourceful, adaptable, and open to learning. They should find solutions within the system to accommodate evolving client requests and align with changing business strategies. Continuous improvement and career development are encouraged, with support from sales leadership.

 

Internal Business Development:

Account Managers will proactively contact previous clients for additional bookings, ensuring personal sales targets are met. They should gather customer feedback to generate ideas for new services or value-added features.

 

Schedule/Travel:

Due to the nature of the transportation industry, working hours may vary based on business needs, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, holidays, or multiple-day shifts. Flexibility with the work schedule is required. Some travel and on-call availability for customers may be necessary.

 

Qualifications Required:

- Preferred previous experience in transportation sales.

- At least 3 years of experience in a sales role.

- Exceptional written and oral communication skills.

- Possession of a valid driver's license with a clean motor vehicle record.

- Ability to pass pre-employment controlled substance test and criminal background check.

Physical Demands/Work Environment:

This role may involve lifting up to 30 pounds and push/pull up to 50 pounds. The Account Manager will primarily work in an office environment with typical office lighting and ambient room temperature.
