Auto Body Restoration Technician – Classic & Vintage Cars
Location: Mesa, AZ
Pay: Up to $40.00/hour DOE
This is for a family-owned restoration shop specializing in classic cars, vintage vehicles, muscle cars, and custom builds. We are looking for an experienced Auto Body Restoration Technician who takes pride in craftsmanship and enjoys bringing classic vehicles back to life.
This is not a collision center position. We are seeking someone with hands-on restoration experience who enjoys quality work, attention to detail, and being part of a close-knit team.
What You'll Do
- Perform body restoration work on classic, vintage, and specialty vehicles
- Complete metal repair, rust repair, panel replacement, and body modifications
- Perform body filler work, block sanding, and panel straightening
- Prepare vehicles for primer and paint
- Assist with custom fabrication and restoration projects as needed
- Maintain a clean, organized, and professional work area
- Work closely with ownership and fellow team members on long-term restoration projects
Qualifications
- Previous auto body restoration experience required
- Experience working on classic cars, muscle cars, hot rods, or custom vehicles preferred
- Strong skills in bodywork, block sanding, and vehicle preparation
- Sheet metal repair and fabrication experience highly preferred
- Ability to work independently and maintain high-quality standards
- Must provide your own body tools and sanding blocks
- Reliable attendance and dependable work ethic
