Apartment Maintenance Technician
Location: Mesa, AZ
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM–3:00 PM
Pay: $20–$23/hour

Position Summary
We are seeking a reliable, hands-on Maintenance Technician to support the upkeep and repair of an apartment community in Mesa, AZ. This role is responsible for handling service requests, completing unit turns, and performing general maintenance to keep the property safe, functional, and well-maintained. This is a temp-to-hire opportunity with the potential for permanent placement based on performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Respond to and complete resident service requests in a timely, professional manner
- Perform basic HVAC repairs and maintenance (filters, units, troubleshooting)
- Handle basic electrical work (outlets, switches, fixtures, troubleshooting)
- Perform basic plumbing repairs (faucets, toilets, leaks, drains, fixtures)
- Complete unit turns and make-readies between residents
- Conduct general repairs including drywall, painting, appliance, and door/lock work
- Perform routine preventive maintenance and property walkthroughs
- Maintain a clean, safe work environment and follow all safety procedures
- Communicate professionally with residents, management, and team members
Requirements
- Prior apartment or property maintenance experience preferred
- Basic HVAC, electrical, and plumbing experience required
- Ability to diagnose and complete general repairs independently
- Reliable transportation and consistent attendance
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks (standing, kneeling, climbing)
- Strong work ethic and customer-service mindset
- Must be able to pass background check and drug screen (if required)
Preferred Qualifications
- EPA certification (a plus)
- Experience with unit turns and make-readies
- Familiarity with maintenance work-order systems
