Job Full Description
SUMMARY, ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Morning Cook. The position will be weekdays along with a weekend rotation, being off every other weekend. Shift will be mainly mornings: 5am- 130pm or 7am- 3pm. This person will need to have a lot of cooking from scratch experience. NOT looking for someone with only fast-food experience. Will need to be able hold your own in the kitchen and follow recipes given to them by the Sous Chef and Director. Please let us know if you have any questions.
- Creative and expert meal preparation
- On site food preparation for special events
- Management and upkeep of the kitchen and dining hall. This includes ensuring all equipment is in working order
- Maintaining a safe and clean kitchen and dining facility
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Large-scale food preparation that is both nutritional and appetizing. Knowledge and experience managing and applying kitchen sanitation and safety standards and methods.
LANGUAGE SKILLS: Significant understanding and knowledge of food, health and safety guidelines for food preparation.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: Commercial food preparation safety certification is PREFERRED.
