Job Summary:
We are seeking TWO skilled and detail-oriented Industrial Powder Coat Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing surfaces and applying paints, coatings, and finishes to a wide range of industrial equipment, machinery, structures, or surfaces. This position plays a vital role in protecting surfaces from corrosion and wear while ensuring a high-quality finish.
Key Responsibilities:
- Apply paints, primers, coatings, or finishes using spray equipment.
- Follow safety procedures, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Set up and operate painting and coating equipment.
- Maintain painting equipment and ensure a clean work environment.
- Inspect finished surfaces to ensure high-quality standards and touch up as needed.
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical documents, or work orders.
Qualifications:
- Knowledge of powder coating equipment and processes.
- Proven experience as an industrial or commercial painter.
- Familiarity with different types of paints, coatings, and application methods.
- Ability to operate painting tools and equipment (e.g., spray guns, compressors).
- Basic knowledge of safety regulations and hazardous materials handling.
- Physical stamina and dexterity to perform manual tasks and lift heavy objects.
- Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
Work Environment:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to odor, noise, dust, heat, cold, airborne particles, moving mechanical parts, and vibration. The noise level in the work environment can be loud. The temperature in the work environment is not regulated.
