Position: Medical Coder
Location: Texarkana, TX
Hours: M-T, 8am-5pm, Fridays 8am-12pm
Pay: $15-18/hour, DOE
Benefits: Medical insurance offered, portion paid by providers, Dental, Vision, Accidental Life offered. Vacation- 40 hours after probation period ends, 80 hours after 2nd year, 120 hours after 5th year.
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Certified Medical Coder to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of medical terminology, ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding systems, along with proven experience ensuring accurate and timely coding for billing and compliance purposes.
Key Responsibilities:

Accurately assign diagnostic and procedural codes to patient records using ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS standards

Review clinical documentation to ensure coding reflects services provided and complies with payer regulations

Collaborate with providers and billing staff to clarify documentation and resolve coding-related discrepancies

Stay current on coding guidelines, payer policies, and compliance regulations

Audit and review records for accuracy and completeness

Assist in resolving claim denials and rejections related to coding

Maintain strict confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA guidelines
Requirements:

Current certification as a CPC, CCS, CCA, or equivalent is a MUST!
