Commercial Loan Assistant
Location: Texarkana, TX
Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Salary: $18.04 – $27.06/hour (DOE)
About the Role:
Express Employment Professionals is seeking a Commercial Loan Assistant to provide administrative and clerical support to the Commercial Lending Department. This role assists members, prepares loan documents, and ensures smooth loan processes while delivering excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and process loan information and documentation.
- Order appraisals, title work, flood certificates, and tax services.
- Assist members, appraisers, and companies with commercial loan needs.
- Greet members and visitors in a professional and welcoming manner.
- Answer and direct incoming calls, handling member requests when appropriate.
- Input and book loans for closing, manage escrow accounts, and process loan-related exceptions.
- Support staff with title work, evaluations, ACH payroll, Remote Deposit Capture, and other commercial services.
- Assemble and complete loan files post-closing.
- Perform general office tasks including filing, scanning, invoicing, and maintaining supplies.
- Adhere to company policies, procedures, and compliance requirements.
- Perform other support duties as needed.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 1+ years of experience in commercial lending, real estate lending, or similar financial services.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and other Office applications.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to provide professional and knowledgeable service to members.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently, show initiative, and exercise sound judgment.
- Professional appearance and demeanor.
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. when necessary.
