Position: QA Complaints Specialist

Location: Nash, TX

Hours: Mon-Thu 7am-4:30pm, Fridays 7am - 11am

Pay: $15-16.50/hr, doe

PURPOSE:

This position provides the support to Quality Assurance,required to meet compliance is accurately maintained.

 

GENERAL DESCRIPTION:

The QA Complaints Specialist supports the Quality Department functions and facility in general by supporting controlled documentation standards and Quality Assurance systems in general. MUST BE ABLE TO COMMUNICATE PROFESSIONALLY IN WRITING.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

  • Customer Complaint Program
    • Facilitate and be responsible for all facets of the Customer Complaint Program regarding the performing of:
      • Internal /external investigations
      • Root cause identification
  • Return Goods Program
    • Be responsible for the Return Goods Program with respect to those received for rework, complaint inspection and shipping errors.
  • Item Number Issuance
    • Generate/disseminate new item numbers upon request and maintain the item number master database.
  • Generate Production/Packaging & Labeling Log Books upon request.
  • Serve as the Quality Department liaison to the Texarkana Resource Center of Texarkana, AR.
  • Provide daily assistance and back up coverage for both the Document Review Technician and Document Control Coordinator positions.
  • All other duties as assigned by the Director of Quality Assurance.

 

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

This position requires long periods of sitting at a desk doing clerical work.  At times it requires: walking,

standing, reaching, stooping, bending and twisting upper body.  Requires lifting (possible 40 lbs. or more) with movement and/or shifting of body position and use of both hands.  Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and color recognition.

 

ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS:

This position involves working around and near mechanical and electrical hazards requiring the person to be alert, aware, safe and careful.  Will work in areas where fumes, odor, dust and chemicals may be present.  Precautions to be taken as specified by Supervisors/Managers and/or by Company SOP's, rules, etc. (Safety glasses, etc.)

 

PERFORMANCE STANDARDS:

This job must be performed with a moderate level of supervision, and/or direction from –Director of Quality Assurance. Duties must be performed in a way which will assure the proper documentation of the manufacture, handling, and storing of finished product.  Good job performance will include the initiative to do work and solve routine problems before being so directed, and to consult with the Quality management or others when necessary.  Associate must be willing to train personnel in proper documentation procedures and to meet and address teams to facilitate the success of the RIGS program.  Position may require overtime, weekend and/or evening work on short notice.  Duties must always be conducted in a professional manner, and all personnel must be treated with courtesy and respect.  Punctuality and attendance is required subject to companies Attendance & Tardy Policies, and related Corrective Counseling (up to & including termination).
