Job Functions:

  • Plans and manages Compounding department activities including but not limited to: scheduling, budgeting, and management of hourly labor.
  • Manages departmental workflow to stay within all budgeted expenses.
  • Develops and updates short term goals and objectives for the Compounding area with regards to equipment, methods, documentation, training, budgeting and coordination of scheduling.
  • Coordinates daily activities of Compounding employees.
  • Fulfills responsibilities in a professional manner.
  • Assures compliance of all company policies and procedures.
  • Develops personal skills with all tools available.
  • Promotes and maintain a safe working environment.
  • Interacts with the Inventory Supervisor, Packaging and Labeling Manager and other departments to keep a good line of communication open.
  • Participates and aids in requests or audits from Customers, OSHA, FDA, or other regulatory agencies.
  • Takes an active role in promoting the Quality First Culture to achieve maximum benefits for the department and the company. This will require an active role in helping the team, as well as others, set, measure and achieve their goals and objectives.
  • Oversees the day-to-day operation of the Compounding Department during the day shift.
  • Is responsible for overseeing and scheduling the rotation and inventorying of all supplies and chemicals needed for their area.
  • Schedules and assists cleaning the blending rooms, all tanks and utensils used in the Compounding process.
  • Maintains the RO system for compliance and resolves any issues.
  • Ensures all tanks, pumps, and mixers are cleaned to Pharma Nobis’s Quality standards.
  • Leads investigations into Compounding issues and works with the Quality Department to complete Out of Specifications or Deviations in a timely manner.
  • Monitor personnel to ensure compliance with the Employee Handbook and the corrective counseling policy book.  Report any violations immediately to the VP of Operations and HR.
  • Ensures that scheduled blending deadlines and goals that are set by VP of Operations are met.
  • Performs all other duties assigned by Management.
