Position: Mortgage Specialist (Long Term Temp)
Location: Texarkana, TX
Hours: Full time, M-F, some overtime when required
Pay: $17/hour
Basic Function:
Under the direction of the VP-Mortgage, performs a variety of functions within the department. Serves as the float to assist or back-up real estate team members.
Responsibilities:
- Provide assistance within all areas in the Mortgage Department and ensure segregation of duties, such as:
- Loan Boarding
- Payoff Requests
- Escrow Processing
- Discharges/Collateral releases
- General Ledger account posting and corrections
- Customer Serving and Correspondence
- Account Research
- File maintenance
- Scans documents and files as needed.
- Back-up to Mortgage Administrative Assistant when needed.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- One or more years of experience with a financial institution or a customer service-related position. Mortgage experience preferred.
- High School diploma or the equivalent.
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple functions within strict deadlines.
- Must be a team player and detail oriented.
- Proficient with personal computer, basic office equipment, and Microsoft office.
- Outgoing personality, knowledge of proper grammar usage.
- Ability to meet, speak, and deal effectively with people, being professional always.
- Must always maintain a neat and professional appearance.
- Attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
