Position: Patient Access Registrar
Location: Hope, AR
Hours: M-F, 8a-5p
Pay: $16.50/hour
Position Summary:
We are seeking a friendly, organized, and detail-oriented Patient Access Registrar to join our team. As the first point of contact for patients and visitors, this role is essential in creating a positive and welcoming experience. The ideal candidate is computer savvy, able to multitask in a fast-paced environment, and committed to delivering excellent customer service with a warm and professional demeanor.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet patients and visitors with a friendly, welcoming attitude
- Accurately register patients by collecting and verifying demographic, insurance, and medical information
- Enter patient data into electronic health record systems efficiently and accurately
- Verify insurance eligibility and obtain necessary authorizations when applicable
- Handle patient check-in and check-out processes
- Answer incoming calls and assist with inquiries in a professional manner
- Maintain patient confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations
- Coordinate with clinical staff to ensure smooth patient flow
- Collect co-pays and process payments as needed
- Assist with administrative tasks and maintain organized records
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Previous experience in healthcare registration, medical office, or customer service preferred
- Strong computer skills with the ability to quickly learn new systems
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail
- Positive attitude with a friendly, patient-focused approach
