Job Description:
Express Employment Professionals is seeking a Warehouse Lead for a growing company in Texarkana, TX. This position is ideal for an experienced warehouse professional who enjoys leading a small team while remaining hands-on in daily warehouse operations. The Warehouse Lead will oversee 2-3 warehouse employees, coordinate daily workflow, maintain inventory accuracy, and ensure a safe and productive work environment.
This position works with carbon black products, resulting in a dirty work environment. Candidates should be comfortable working in industrial conditions and performing physical labor throughout the day.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and supervise a team of 2-3 warehouse associates
- Coordinate daily warehouse activities and prioritize workloads
- Receive, store, and distribute materials and products
- Load and unload shipments safely and efficiently
- Maintain accurate inventory records and assist with cycle counts
- Utilize computer systems for inventory tracking, shipping, receiving, and reporting
- Ensure warehouse organization and cleanliness standards are maintained
- Train and assist team members with warehouse procedures and safety practices
- Monitor inventory levels and communicate supply needs
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures
- Assist with general warehouse duties as needed
Qualifications:
- Previous warehouse experience required
- Prior leadership, supervisory, or team lead experience preferred
- Basic computer skills and experience using warehouse or inventory software
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and lead others effectively
- Forklift experience preferred
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical labor throughout the shift
- Comfortable working in a dusty and dirty industrial environment
