Job Full Description
Express Employment Professionals is looking for a Mill Machinist in the Kearny mesa area.
Machine Operators work independently and as part of a team, at times with limited supervision.
You will work with senior Machine Operators and other skilled tradesman, offering an opportunity to gain on the job training. There are weekly and monthly goals and incentives to complete production goals and schedules. You will set up, operate, and control machines on trial runs to verify accuracy of machine/motor settings.
What we look for in Machine Operators:
- Prior experience as a Mill machine operator, including saws, planers, shapers, routers, lathes and sanders, to cut shape and process wood materials.
- Attention to detail, specifically in following production procedures. You will be inspecting wood products for defects, adjust machinery as needed and ensuring that finished products meet quality standards.
- Mill operators may also be responsible for routine maintenance tasks, including lubricating, cleaning and replacing worn parts.
- Read Blueprints, work orders, and other instructions to determine product specifications and operational methods.
Requirements
• High School Diploma/GED
• 2 years of experience operating Mills machines
• Aptitude for math, problem-solving, computers, and mechanics
• Attention to detail
