Express Employment Professionals LAX is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented HR Assistant / Coordinator to support the daily operations of our Human Resources department. Assist with day-to-day HR operations and provide clerical and administrative support.

Maintain and update employee records (digital and physical).

Support the recruitment process by posting job ads, screening resumes, scheduling interviews, and coordinating communication.

Assist in onboarding and offboarding processes, including preparing documents, conducting orientation sessions, and collecting feedback.

Coordinate training sessions and maintain training records.

Ensure compliance with labor laws and internal policies.

Prepare HR-related reports as needed (e.g., headcount, turnover, leave reports).

Manage employee leave and attendance tracking systems.

Support payroll processing by collecting and verifying timekeeping information.

Address employee queries regarding HR policies, benefits, and procedures.

Assist with HR events, wellness initiatives, and employee engagement programs.

Help ensure a positive and efficient HR experience for all staff.

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.

1–2 years of experience in an HR support role is a plus.

Strong understanding of HR functions and best practices.

Excellent organizational and time management skills.

High attention to detail and accuracy.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Experience with HR software (e.g., BambooHR, Workday, or similar) is an advantage.
