Salary: $26.00 - $29.00
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM and Saturday, 8 AM-12 PM
Company Overview:
Metal Scrap Yard in Vallejo seeking a skilled candidate to assist with sorting and grading of metal. The ideal candidate for this position has mechanical experience, heavy equipment operations, has been in an industry where knowledge of metal and parts is beneficial.
Bilingual in Spanish is preferred.
You Job responsibilities are:
• Sort, organize, and process scrap metal and other materials
• Operate saws, shears, torches, and other cutting equipment
• Maintain cleanliness and safety of the yard and work areas
• Assist with inventory tracking and material inspections
• Follow all safety protocols and wear appropriate PPE
• Support team members and supervisors with daily tasks
Qualifications:
• Previous experience in a metal yard, warehouse, or construction setting preferred
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
Forklift certification a plus (or willingness to obtain)
• Basic mechanical aptitude and familiarity with hand tools
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
• Reliable transportation and punctuality
