Job Title: Facilities Maintenance Technician
Position Summary:
The Facilities Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining and repairing building systems and infrastructure to ensure safe, efficient, and uninterrupted operations. This role involves performing routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and emergency repairs across multiple trades including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and general building upkeep. The technician works independently and collaboratively to support facility, functionality and safety.
MUST HAVE BUILDING MAINTENANCE EXPERIENCE NOT APARTMENT MAINTENANCE, AND KNOWLEDGE OF PLUMBING AND HVAC AS WELL AS MACHINE MAINTENANCE!

Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular inspections of building systems including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, lighting, and structural components.
- Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on facility equipment, fixtures, and infrastructure.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to heating, cooling, ventilation, plumbing, and electrical systems.
- Maintain exterior areas such as walkways, parking lots, landscaping, and loading docks.
- Repair or replace irrigation components including sprinklers and pipes.
- Coordinate and oversee work performed by external contractors and vendors.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, service logs, and inventory of tools and supplies.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, building codes, and internal policies.
- Respond promptly to urgent maintenance requests and equipment failures.
- Support facility improvement projects and sustainability initiatives.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; vocational or technical training preferred.
- Proven experience in facility maintenance, preferably in industrial, commercial, or warehouse environments.
- Working knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and general construction.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
- Strong problem-solving and diagnostic skills.
- Good organizational and time management abilities.
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs., climb ladders, bend, and stand for extended periods.
Preferred Skills & Certifications:
- HVAC certification, electrical license, or other trade certifications.
- OSHA safety training or equivalent.
- Forklift operation certification.
- Basic carpentry and/or welding experience.
Work Environment:
- Exposure to varying temperatures, humidity, and noise levels.
- May involve working near moving machinery, wet surfaces, and cleaning chemicals.
- Fast-paced environment with strict safety and hygiene protocols.
- Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and on-call shifts as needed
