Welder – Solano County
$25.00 - $30.00
Monday - Friday
5:00am to 1:00pm + OT as needed
TIG WELDER AND PIPEFITTING EXPERIENCE IS PREFERRED!
Primary Duties:
- Assemble parts and components using MIG, TIG, ARC, and Oxygen Acetylene welding techniques.
- Perform basic layout and fabrication from drawings and diagrams.
- Operate tools and equipment including cutting torches, power saws, grinders, cranes, drill press, and forklifts.
- Suggest and build approved fixture designs.
- Promote and maintain shop safety.
- Perform other duties as assigned across the company.
Work Environment:
- Primarily shop-based with occasional outdoor work exposed to the elements.
Minimum Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience in a fabrication shop.
- Welder’s certificate or ability to pass Barriers’ weld test.
- High school diploma, GED, or vocational technical training preferred.
- Proficient in blueprint reading and shop math.
- Ability to work independently or in a team.
- Strong organizational skills and adaptability.
- Forklift training desirable.
- Must be able to read and comprehend English.
- Willingness to work overtime and different shifts as needed.
